Annapurna Circuit Trek is well known by everyone I heard, that’s true (but I don’t know any fancy words instead I’ve put here only what I experienced). Now-a-days people say it’s not that nice due the new road building. Yes, that won’t be that nice if the trekker follow the old rule and regulation (still take time to be metalled it, because there are many problems for the road with summer rain and winter fresh snow many time & many places swept away).

In my opinion, that new road building doesn’t affect the beauty of this region yet, instead of affecting it you will have better chance to find the new things, area & real people life style around it (that means now you have chances to search inside/many side trip). But one thing you have to consider that some companies used to arrange for 17 days Annapurna circuit trek, just rush up the Marsyangdi valley  – Thorong la pass 5416 m. – then run down along the Kaligandaki valley to Beni according to the tight pre-scheduled then finished trek), in fact you won’t find things & observe the life style as you expected if you do it that way.
I’m very happy with new building road, because if the road won’t made up then I would not have chance to search side trip (periphery of the main trail) , because of the new road, I have more chances to find out many unseened area, people & their daily life style, new & untouched beauty of nature etc.

My sister, a friend, and I contacted Prem Rai as our trekking agent and tour organizer for our Annapurna Circuit Trek, May 2011. Prem is located in Pokhara, Nepal.
Our trip was amazing. Prem handled all of the logistics of the trip including pick up and drop off at the airport, hotel accommodations in Pokhara and Kathmandu and sightseeing. Prem arranged our itinerary for the Annapurna Circuit trip and everything was well done and work out perfectly.
Prem and his wife speak excellent English and both are very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and provide a great service for anyone visiting Nepal. Prem and his wife also own Stairway to Heaven, a Massage studio in Pokhara.
Prem arranged Gobinda Rai as our guide and two porters, Dhan Rai and Sangam Rai. Gobinda Rai was an excellent guide and Dhan and Sangam were excellent porters.
Gobinda knew the culture and the landscapes. He seems to know everyone in the villages we stayed in, the advantage being we always had great lodgings and great food. Gobinda speaks English very well and wasn't shy about teaching us Nepalise. He was very cautious and aware of our acclimatization progress and knew what to do if one of us was having problems. The biggest plus was that Gobinda is a really nice man and fun to get to know. We were able to meet his wife Gita and daughter Amisa.
After the trek we had dinner with Prem, his wife Maina, Gobinda, and his wife Gita. Everything was excellent.
I highly recommend Prem Rai as a a guide, trekking agent, and tour organizer if anyone is interested in visiting Nepal.
